My Reflection

WALT write a poem about a pet using the structure of James Carter’s “Have you seen my dragon?” I found this funny because of the picture and what I wrote in the poem. I feel good about how it ended up. My next step is to add more detail.

I enjoyed all of Youthtown but I really liked dogs, chickens, snakes because you had to run away and chase at the same time.

My favorite writing exercise is the 2-word sentence. We had to use a noun and a verb in each sentence. For example:

Flying pigs.

Dinosaurs extinct.

Tasty nuggets.

Bouncy trampoline.







I found this easy because I could find ideas for my sentences fast.  It was easy coming up with the verbs (doing words) as I know a lot of them.

Speech

IALT: write a persuasive speech.
 I found this tricky to find the facts.
 I feel good about the whole thing.
 My next step is to make my speeches longer.

For the birds

 I found this tricky because I didn't understand how to make an inference.  I didn't know how to look for clues. What I liked about it is that I got it done.

I found it easy to do because I had researched all the information and my friend helped me with finding the similarities.

 I found it easy to type the paragraphs. I found it tricky to make every thing make sense. My next step is to make my speech more interesting by adding more persuasive words.

I was learning about place value.  I found this really easy but I also found this not so tricky but it was a little bit hard. My next step is to not get as much help as this. I feel good about how I got all the questions right.
